Biblical Studies for Women

BIBLICAL STUDIES FOR WOMEN

We live in a world of confusion and division.  Waves of change have swept over us and the world debates over what is truth.  Those ideas and struggles are the very reason we encourage every woman to be engaged in a study of God’s Word with others.   God has declared that His Word is Living – so as we open the Word and soak up its truths, LIFE meets life… and speaks to hearts that are in brutal daily battles.  God’s Word is our foundation and the only voice that can calm seas and hold us steady.

We have several studies available for Women in all stages of Life. Classes are held on Tuesday Mornings from 9:15 – 11:15 or Wednesday Evenings from 6:00 – 7:15 (runs September – March). Childcare is available for children whose parents or guardians attend one of the studies, Mom to Mom or any Wednesday evening activity. Children must be pre – registered. Books for all studies will be available in the church office.

Please join us; we are saving a seat for you!

WINTER SESSION

January 16 – March 26

Tuesdays | 9:15 – 11:15 am

Wednesdays | 6:00 – 7:15 pm

Gospel on the Ground

Tuesday Mornings

In the first century under Roman rule, how was it that the early church, a “motley” crew of Jews, grew, thrived and influenced the whole known world? This study launches from the book of Acts and then looks at world history at that time, exploring the culture where these earliest Christians lived. You will see how there is a direct correlation to our culture and church today.

When You Pray

Tuesday Mornings

This is one of the newest studies out right now. Six excellent Bible teachers have each written a chapter exploring different prayers in the Bible. You will see the different types of prayers and God’s response to them. This study will encourage you greatly in your prayer life.

The Power of the Holy Spirit’s Names

Tuesday Mornings

Many believers long for a clearer understanding of the Holy Spirit and the role He plays in our relationship with God. In this study, the Spirit’s specific identity and work as a member of the Trinity is made clear and we can more fully grasp what a wonderful gift Jesus sent to us.

Precept Inductive Studies 1 Timothy

Tuesday Mornings

How are the people of the church to behave? What happens when we hear teaching that is not the truth? Timothy, a young pastor, was told the answers to these questions in this letter written to him. It contains some doctrine, but also very practical instructions for how people in the church are to live.

Hosea

Wednesday Nights

Hosea, an old-testament prophet, preached his own life message using his marriage as the sermon illustration. The study of Hosea looks deeply at that message. It provides background to better understand the intricacies of the man and his message. You’ll be guided to understand, but more especially to apply the message of the prophet of love. Hosea showers us with hope—hints and portents pointing to the coming of the promised Messiah.

MOM TO MOM

Moms with young children, please come join us on Tuesday mornings! Childcare is provided so that you can fellowship with other moms over brunch, dive into new biblical topics each week, and share with one another in small groups. Our topics and small groups are guided by mentor moms – women who don’t have young children at home anymore but have a personal relationship with Jesus, the wisdom to share, and a heart for pouring into others. Our hope and prayer is to come alongside women and provide an environment of love, trust, and respect where we can learn to Thrive Together.
