WORSHIP PASTOR OPENING
West Side Church – Yakima, WA – Worship Pastor
The Big Picture
West Side Church is looking for a Worship Pastor who will work with the Teaching Pastor to lead the body in congregational worship as well as oversee our Worship and Hospitality Teams (coffee, ushers, and greeters). While oversight of these teams is expected, what we are seeking is someone who will also disciple the key leaders within these teams and equip them to disciple within the context of their own ministries. (The position also comes with a full benefits package).
The Church
West Side Church was planted by Conservative Baptist Northwest (Now Church Venture Northwest) in Yakima, Washington, in 1953. Since then, the church has strived to faithfully fulfill the great commission and to teach the full counsel of God’s Word. Between 2002 and 2013, God used West Side to plant three churches. In 2019, the leadership of the church changed from a Senior Pastor to a Pastoral Leadership Team (presently this consists of three positions). These three pastors, along with (currently) fourteen lay elders, are elected by the body to lead and shepherd the church. Our Mission is Glorify God, Proclaim Christ, Make Disciples. We strive to do this through large group and small group gatherings, our personal devotions and pursuit of Christ, and in local and global mission work. The age of attendees spans all ages from birth through people in their 90’s. There is a growing number of young families, and all generations are well represented at West Side Church.
The Candidate
We are prayerfully seeking a Worship Pastor who will serve under our Pastoral Leadership Team and directly report to the Teaching Pastor. The candidate should have a consuming passion for God’s glory, a heart of hospitality, and an eagerness to disciple people who will go and make disciples. He must be an excellent communicator and live what he teaches. He must have a bachelor’s degree in a ministry-related field of study and at least three years of experience leading in corporate worship.

FAMILY PASTOR OPENING
West Side Church – Yakima, WA – Family Pastor
The Big Picture
West Side Church is looking for a Family Pastor who will provide oversight of our entire Family Team. The Family Team includes the Children’s Ministry Director (Birth through 5th Grade), the Youth Director (grades 6 – 12), and all teachers/volunteers who serve throughout both entities. While oversight of this team is expected, what we are seeking is someone who will disciple these leaders and teach them to disciple within the context of their own ministries. The Family Pastor will lead the way in discipling new people into the role of teachers and volunteers and coordinate the training and discipling of parents so they can disciple their children (Please see complete job description).

The candidate should have a passion for the family and discipleship. He must have a wholistic approach to family ministry, and the desire to work with a team of leaders for a common goal. Above all, we seek someone who deeply loves the Lord and lives for His glory!
